Abstract
Passive Q-switching performance of the tunable Cr:LiCAF laser with the Cr:Y SO solid state saturable absorber is numerically studied. The simulation re sults show that the Cr:YSO may be used as an effective saturable absorber Q switch for the tunable Cr:LiCAF laser over its entire tuning range from 72 5 nm to 840 mn.
