Abstract
Most airports compare their efficiency according to the results of some par tial productivity ratios. However, this approach does not provide a good un derstanding of their overall performance. In this paper, we apply data enve lopment analysis to analyze the technical efficiency and performance of eac h individual Spanish airport. Results are used to extract some policy consi derations before the process of privatization of the Spanish airport system . (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
