Pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) has been optimized for the determinatio
n of polyphenols in Golden Delicious apple peel and pulp, The effects of ex
perimental variables, such as solvent composition, temperature, static extr
action time and pressure, on PLE efficiency have been studied. Once the opt
imum conditions were established the recovery and the precision of the meth
od for each analyte was tested by means of repeated analysis. (C) 2001 Else
