The dielectric constant of Mn-Zn ferrite was measured at different temperat
ure and frequencies as a function of sintering temperature ranging from 120
0 degreesC to 1400 degreesC at heating rate of 6 degreesC/min. The resistiv
ities as well as Seebeck coefficient were measured in the same range of tem
perature. More than one type of polarization is expected to vary the dielec
tric constant. Hoping mechanism was the predominant one in conduction proce
sses. The grain size was calculated from X-rays and SE micrographs and it w
as found to decrease with increasing sintering temperature. (C) 2001 Kluwer
