Abstract
This review describes the kinetics of hydrolysis and substitution reactions of platinum(II) complexes studied recently. In some of the above reactions reported from our laboratory, a ring opening phenomenon of the parent chel ates has been observed. The preference for sulpur atom in bonding in the ca se of sulfur containing ligands is noteworthy.
