Abstract
A two-dimensional symmetrical cylindrical transport model for TAP puls e response experiments is analyzed and compared with the one-dimension al TAP model. It is shown that both models give the same total exit fl ow for experimentally realistic boundary conditions. The uniformity of the flux distribution at the outlet face of the cylindrical model is also analyzed. It is shown that after time greater than t(peak)/60, th e flux distribution on the radial coordinate of the outlet face can be considered uniform.
