The influence of the dopant iodine (I-2) on fluorescence spectra, UV-VIS sp
ectra and photoconductivity of the C-60-toluene derivative is studied. The
results show that the photoconductivity of the derivative doped with I-2 ha
s increased by one order of magnitude. The fluorescence and UV-VIS analyses
indicate that a charge-transfer complex (CTC) Of C-60-toluene and I-2 may
be formed. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
