Rh. Zuo et al., Improvement of Ag-Pd alloy electrode by ceramic dopant applied for multilayer electronic ceramic devices, MATER LETT, 51(6), 2001, pp. 504-508
The electrical conductivity and thermal expansion behaviors of ceramic-modi
fied 70Ag-30Pd alloy were investigated. The associated data for 70Ag-30Pd a
lloy doped with suitable amounts of ceramic powder were firstly provided. T
he electrical conductivity of > 1.23 x 10(4) Omega (-1) . cm(-1) possibly a
ccepted for extensive application for thick film conductors may be obtained
when doped by < 10 wt.% ceramic powder. Moreover, the mismatch of coeffici
ents of thermal expansion (CTE) between the ceramic dielectric and the dope
d 70Ag-30Pd alloy was obviously reduced particularly at high temperature te
rminal. At 900<degrees>C, the CTE of PMZNT ceramic reaches 8.35 x 10(-6)/de
greesC and 70Ag-30Pd alloys doped with 10 wt.% ceramic powders have the val
ue of 9.56 x 10(-6)/degreesC, markedly compared with 16.01 x 10(-6)/degrees
C of pure 70Ag-70Pd alloy. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserv
