A sharp-like modulation of the linear electrooptics coefficient (LEC) versu
s the pressure (p) and the temperature (T) was observed for the first time
for the ZnO crystalline films doped by F. We have unambiguously demonstrate
d that the observed effect is caused by incorporation of the F atoms and is
absent in the pure ZnO crystallines. Norm-conserving self-consistent pseud
opotential and molecular dynamics simulations independently reproduce these
modulations and attribute them to the electron-phonon interactions (EPI).
Contribution of the inter-cluster tunneling is demonstrated. (C) 2001 Elsev
