Abstract
Co-nanoclusters prepared in the gas phase are embedded in miscible Pt or no n-miscible Ag matrices using a codeposition technique. Structural character izations using X-ray absorption and photoemission spectroscopies are perfor med. For both Co/Pt and Co/Ag films we observe nanostructured morphologies consisting of well-crystallized Co nanoparticles randomly distributed in th e polycrystalline metallic matrices. Such results indicate a limited alloyi ng effect at the interface. It is particularly interesting in the case of m iscible elements with a view to preparing original nanostructured systems f or specific applications in various fields (magnetic, optoelectronic, devic es, etc).
