Accurate expressions, valid in experimentally relevant regimes, are present
ed for the effect of a long-ranged Coulomb interaction on the low-energy pr
operties (momentum distribution function, density of states, electron spect
ral function, and 4k(F) correlation function) of one-dimensional electron s
ystems. The importance of plasmon dispersion (as opposed to exponent) effec
ts in the spectral function is demonstrated.
