Abstract
We report results of electrical resistivity and thermopower measurements fr om 2 to 300 K of the CexY1-xCu2.05Si2 alloy system. The data show that the overall crystal field splitting does not depend on concentration and is the same as in the CexLaY1-xCu2.05Si2 alloy system. The results are compared w ith pressure experiments on the CeCu2Si2 compound, with investigations of U xY1-xPd3 alloys and a recent analysis of the CexLa1-xCu2.05Si2 alloy system . We show that CexY1-xCu2.05Si2, a heavy-fermion alloy system, evolves towa rds a valence fluctuation system.
