High resolution angle resolved photoemission data from Pb doped Bi2Sr2CaCu2
O8 (Bi2212) with suppressed superstructure is presented. Improved resolutio
n and very high momentum space sampling at various photon energies reveal t
he presence of two Fermi surface pieces. One has the holelike topology, whi
le the other one has its van Hove singularity very close to (pi ,0), its to
pology at some photon energies resembles the electronlike piece. This resul
t provides a unifying picture of the Fermi surface in the Bi2212 compound a
nd reconciles the conflicting reports.
