Nb. Rubtsov et al., Reverse in situ hybridization of DNA probes of abnormal chromosomes in diagnostics of chromosomal pathologies, RUSS J GEN, 37(11), 2001, pp. 1299-1305
The results of analysis of congenital chromosomal pathologies and chromosom
al rearrangements upon the occurrence of haematological diseases, which was
involved constructing DNA libraries of abnormal chromosomes and subsequent
reverse CISS hybridization have been considered. High effectiveness of thi
s approach for analysis of chromosomal translocations, deletions of chromos
omal regions, minor additional chromosomes, and large marker chromosomes wi
th complex organization was shown. The possibility of implementation of thi
s approach and its large-scale application in medical and genetic studies o
f congenital developmental pathologies and chromosomal diagnostics of haema
tological diseases has been discussed.
