Z. Henkie et al., Is the low temperature thermoelectric power behaviour an evidence for the multi-channel Kondo effect in UAs1-xSe1+x?, ACT PHY P B, 32(10), 2001, pp. 3501-3506
We have investigated the anisotropy and off-stoichiometry effects on the th
ermoelectric power S(T) of uranium dipnictides - UP1.7As0.3 and UAs2 and ar
senoselenide - UAs1-xSe1+x. These two groups of compounds have tetragonal P
bFCl-type structure and order at low temperatures anti- or ferromagneticall
y, respectively. The S(T) curves are strongly anisotropic for all the exami
ned systems. The a-axis thermopower of the ferromagnetic UAs1-xSe1+x. syste
m shows a spectacular dependence of the shape of S(T) curve on x. This beha
viour is discussed in the frame of the multi-channel Kondo model.
