Abstract
We have developed an easy scheme to rapidly predict the warfarin maintenanc e dose in outpatients with atrial fibrillation after 4 consecutive days of 5 mg/day warfarin administration. This is based on the nonlinear relation b etween the single internal normalized ratio value on day 5 and actual warfa rin maintenance dosage obtained for 61 consecutive patients with atrial fib rillation.
