Flow injection screening and semiquantitative determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water by laser induced spectrofluorimetry - chemometrics
J. Amador-hernandez et al., Flow injection screening and semiquantitative determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in water by laser induced spectrofluorimetry - chemometrics, ANALYT CHIM, 448(1-2), 2001, pp. 61-69
A continuous method is proposed here for the screening and subsequent semi
quantitative determination, if required, of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon
s (PAHs) in water. The experimental arrangement is based on the use of a fl
ow injection (B) manifold that enables preconcentration of the analytes on
a C-18 minicolumn before their automatic introduction into a flow-cell for
detection. An Nd:YAG laser at 355 nm is used as excitation source and fluor
escence emission is detected by a charge coupled device. Multivariate infor
mation is analysed by soft independent modelling of class analogy (SIMCA) a
nd partial least squares regression type 1 (PLS-1), in order to obtain qual
itative and semiquantitative information. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. Al
