Abstract
Spontaneous retroperitoneal hemmorhage is an uncommon affection, the diagno sis was recognized by sonography and CT scan, but the etiology remains unkn own and exploration for diagnosis may become necessary. In the absence of a n apparent etiology, patients with spontaneous renal bleeding should underg o radical nephrectomy, because of the extremely high incidence of small und etectable occult tumors. Three further cases were reported by the authors, who made a rewiew of the literature. (C) 2001 Editions scientifiques et med icales Elsevier SAS.
