Abstract
Mycobacterium fortuitum is a rapidly growing atypical mycobacterium fr equently reported as a postsurgical wound complication from a major su rgical procedure, We present a unique case of M, fortuitum infection o ccurring in a 4-year-old boy after a minor punch biopsy surgical proce dure, As far as we know there has been no published case of M. fortuit um occurring after a punch biopsy procedure.
