Abstract
This paper will address the use of technology in physical education te aching and teacher education. Both computer and other electronic devic es are considered. Current uses and some possibilities are discussed, as are some problems that have or may occur with the increased use of technology in physical education. Current uses include using computers fur word processing and data management, assessment and teaching, com puter and video-assisted instruction, and telecommunications. Four pot ential problems are identified: (a) have versus have nets; (b) physica l activity versus technology; (c) is this the best way to teach?; and (d) the teacher educator.
