Abstract
This paper describes how technology can be used in health-related scre ening, testing, exercise prescription, and program evaluation. Technol ogy can assist the health/fitness professional in these elements of a fitness program by saving time and space. But because many of the devi ces lack adequate validity and calibration, fitness professionals are encouraged to make careful decisions concerning what specific tasks ca n be more effectively accomplished with the aid of technology.
