Abstract
Balloon angioplasty of recurrent coarctation of the aorta is considered a l ow-risk procedure with high success rate. In the literature, the major comp lications are death, rupture of the aorta, recoarctation, aneurysm formatio n, cerebrovascular accident, and femoral artery thrombosis. Spinal cord isc hemia as an unusual complication of balloon angioplasty is reported. (C) 20 01 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
