Abstract
The stoichiometric splitting of water into H-2 and O-2 (H-2/O-2 = 2) under visible light irradiation (lambda 420 nm) took place for the first time usi ng a mixture of Pt-WO3 and Pt-SrTiO3 (Cr-Ta-doped) photocatalysts and an IO 3-/I- shuttle redox mediator.
