Abstract
The genomic organization of Tcf23, the gene coding for mouse OUT, a basic h elix-loop-helix transcription factor, was determined and its chromosome loc ation was assigned to the A3 region of chromosome 5. By in silico searching , we further found the human counterpart of the mouse OUT gene (TCF23) in t he draft human genome sequence and assigned it to 2p24 --> p23. Copyright ( C) 2001 S.
