Abstract
The effect of minor additions of ion exchange substrates Biona and mechanic al mixtures of ion exchangers, saturated with a full set of biogenic elemen ts, on the productivity of sand and garden soil was investigated. The addit ion of 2% of substrate Biona increased the crops by four to five times for soil and four to eight times for sand. The effect of the addition of the mi xture of the monoionic forms was also very pronounced (two to three times) while less than that of the addition of the ion exchange substrate. Results of the experiments showed that ion exchanger substrates could be used for fertilization of depleted soils. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
