Preparation and characterisation of polyaniline electrode modified with diamino-methylbenzoate

The modification of electrodeposited polyaniline film by subsequent electro deposition of diamino-methylbenzoate leads to a new material of interesting electrochemical, electrical and spectroscopic properties. The electronical ly conductive parent polymer can be transformed into a redox polymer, howev er, the electrochemical behaviour, the colour and the conductivity of the p olymer during the modification procedure can be easily regulated, therefore , the required properties can be finely tuned. The formation and the proper ties of the new polymeric films were studied by electrochemical microgravim etric and spectroelectrochemical techniques. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
