Abstract
Addition of NAD(H) or NADP(H) to an aqueous two-phase polyethylene gly col-dextran system affects the partitioning of purified pea (Pisum sat ivum L.) chloroplast glyceraldehyde-3-P dehydrogenase. The results ind icate that the nature of the bound pyridine nucleotide affects the con formation and the state of aggregation of the enzyme, as suggested ear lier by size exclusion (R. Cerff, fur. J. Biochem., 82 (1978) 45-53) a nd sucrose density gradient centrifugation (P. Pupillo and G. Giuliani Picccari, fur. J. Biochem., 51 (1975) 475-482) experiments.
