Abstract
In this work we present new data concerning the pressure character of metam orphism in the Aysen Eastern Andean Metamorphic Complex. The parameter d(06 0,33(1) over bar) of the K-white mica from basement pelitic rocks was measu red as a barometric indicator. Three sample groups from different areas wer e considered, for a total of 69 samples. All measured values suggest a meta morphic setting characterised by intermediate to high pressure.
