Abstract
A qualitative analysis of a scalar-tensor cosmological model, with an expon ential potential for the scalar field, is performed. The phase diagram for the flat case is constructed. It is shown that solutions with an initial an d final inflationary behavior appear. We discuss the possible existence of realistic scenarios and we generalize the results, adding ordinary matter t o the scalax-tensor model.
