Abstract
We demonstrated the laser oscillation at 1.06 mum with neodymium-doped lant hanum tungstate crystals under pulsed-laser pumping at 802 nm. Fiber-shaped crystals with Nd concentration of up to 20 at.% were grown using the micro -pulling-down method. A maximum slope efficiency of 35% was achieved for a 3.2 at, %-doped sample at 1059 nm.
