Abstract
The following problem was posed by Dipendra Prasad. Characterize number fie
lds K fur which the equation x(2) + Y-2 = 1 has a non trivial integral solu
tion and determine all such solutions, for a given K. In this paper we give
a complete solution to this problem. (C) 2001 Academic press.
