Abstract
Malignancies can cause mediastinal and hilar lymphadenopathy that is e asily mistaken for sarcoidosis. We report a patient with breast cancer who initially had respiratory symptoms and thoracic lymphadenopathy. Despite the rarity of breast cancer manifesting in this way, the impor tance of obtaining histologic confirmation of suspected sarcoidosis is stressed.
