Abstract
This Microreview on the chemistry of organozinc reagents starts by bri efly showing the methods of preparation of organozinc compounds and th en discusses the considerable synthetic utility of zinc organometallic s for the formation of new carbon-carbon bonds in the presence of tran sition-metal catalysts. Finally, the use of organozinc chemistry for t he preparation of polyfunctional and chiral phosphanes is described.
