Sl. Zheng et al., Four two-dimensional highly undulating silver(I)-hexamethylenetetramine co-ordination networks containing micropores, NEW J CHEM, 25(11), 2001, pp. 1425-1429
Four interesting polymers, namely [Ag-2(mu (3)-hmt)(2)(MeCN)](ClO4)(2) 1, [
Ag(mu (3)-hmt)(ma)] 2, [Ag(mu (3)-hmt)(ba)] . H2O 3 and [Ag(mu (3)-hmt)(sal
)].H2O 4 (hmt=hexamethylenetetramine, ma=malonate, ba=benzoate and sal=sali
cylate) have been synthesised and structurally characterised by X-ray diffr
action. In these complexes, the two-dimensional [Ag(mu (3)-hmt)] layers of
hexagonal units are highly undulating and each pair of adjacent lateral lig
ands, MeCN or carboxylates, at the same side of the layers are slanted towa
rds each other, resulting in intralayer micropores.
