TARGET DEPENDENCE OF N Z RATIO OF THE FRAGMENTS PRODUCED IN 30 MEV/U AR-40 INDUCED REACTIONS/

An inclusive measurement was performed for 30 MeV/u Ar-40+Ni-58,Ni-64 and In-115. By employing the degree of freedom of N/Z, the production mechanism of the high energy component of the intermediate mass fragme nts (IMFs: 3 less than or equal to Z less than or equal to 13) has bee n discussed. Special attention has been paid to the target dependence of N/Z ratio of the energetic fragments. These IMFs may be produced by a projectile fragmentation process with energy dissipation.
