BIOELECTRICAL ACTIVITY OF THE HEART IN PA TIENTS WITH ESSENTIAL-HYPERTENSION (HYPERTENSIVE DISEASE) AND WITH ITS COMBINATION WITH ISCHEMIC-HEART-DISEASE
Li. Olbinskaya et Se. Movsesyan, BIOELECTRICAL ACTIVITY OF THE HEART IN PA TIENTS WITH ESSENTIAL-HYPERTENSION (HYPERTENSIVE DISEASE) AND WITH ITS COMBINATION WITH ISCHEMIC-HEART-DISEASE, Kardiologia, 37(5), 1997, pp. 31-34
Planimetric analysis of resting and exercise (veloergometer) ECG and e
chocardiography were used for the study of relation between bioelectri
cal activity of the myocardium and magnitude of its morphological and
functional alterations in 16 healthy persons and 65 patients with esse
ntial hypertension and various degrees of myocardial hypertrophy inclu
ding 15 patients with concomitant ischemic heart disease and NYHA clas
s II angina. Ratio of area of ECG waves during depolarization and repo
larization to myocardial mass was elevated at early stages of left ven
triculaer myocardial hypertrophy and had tendency to progressive decre
ase in patients with myocardial mass exceeding 200 g. More pronounced
lowering of intensity of myocardial bioelectrical activity was observe
d in patients with concomitant ischemic heart disease. There was an in
terdependence between bioelectrical activity, parameters of systolic a
nd diastolic function, and ectopic activity of the myocardium.
