Abstract
Prevalence of ischemic heart disease, coronary risk factors, and nutri tional habits in samples of urban aboriginal and migrant male populati ons in some geographical regions were correlated with postmortem exten t of vascular atherosclerotic lesions. Nationality associated characte ristics of development of atheroslerosis were revealed: in migrant com pared to autochthon men higher risk factor profile and atherogenic die t corresponded to greater extent of vascular atherosclerosis and more pronounced lumen obstruction.
