Abstract
We calculate proton elastic scattering with Ni-58 and Sn-120 at various int ermediate energies with relativistic impulse approximation (RIA). We use th e ground-state wave functions of the relativistic mean-field (RMF) calculat ion with the use of the TMA parameter set. We found good agreement with exp erimental data for the elastic scattering observables. In addition to the s tandard scalar and vector densities, we include also the tensor density. We study the Pauli effect and the vacuum polarization effect on the elastic s cattering observables using the prescription of Horowitz and Serot at lower energy. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
