Abstract
Fluorescein has been coupled to the amino groups of the common nucleos ides via a carbamoyl spacer to form a new type of conjugates. The corr esponding phosphoramidites have been prepared with Npe and Npeoc prote cting groups for application in oligonucleotide synthesis. Hybridizati ons have been studied in dependence of the fluorescing label as well a s fluorescence quantum yields and fluorescence anisotropy effects.
