A new synthesis modul was constructed to prepare one-dimensional libra ries of sequentally overlapping oligonucleotides on surface modified p olypropylene tapes. The use of such a library for the diagnostic scree ning of a point mutation in the regulatory protein gene p53 is describ ed.
