Abstract
A straightforward method to estimate the efficiency of ensemble quantum com puting using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is presented by defini ng a quantum computing efficiency factor (QC(epsilon)). This method allows critical evaluation of the performance of quantum gates and algorithms and provides a way to design efficient quantum computer. (C) 2001 Elsevier Scie nce B.V. All rights reserved.
