We calculate the rate for stimulated transitions with photon emission betwe
en two trapped bosonic gases in thermal equilibrium, for both the box and h
armonic oscillator traps in the weak interaction limit. It is shown that st
imulation has a peak at a temperature characteristic of the kinetic energy
of final state bosons. The problem of nuclear gamma- and beta -decay stimul
ation is reanalysed and a possible method for obtaining observable results
