Abstract
This paper deals with specimen preparation for Electron Backscatter Diffrac tion (EBSD). Due to the very low information depth of EBSD the standard met allographic preparation is typically not sufficient. It affords an adjustme nt in order to achieve a very flat and fully distortion free sample surface . Compared to metals the preparation of ceramics is a bit more delicate.
