Abstract
Certified and substandard paving bituments of Kirishi Petroleum Processing Plant were studied by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The differences in the aromaticity degree of asphaltenes and malthenes of t hese bitumens were revealed. The parameters of layered-block stacks of the asphaltenes were measured.
