Abstract
A model of a space charge layer that may form between cathode and anode pla smas in the presence of a transverse magnetic field is considered. Collisio ns are assumed not to affect the motion of electrons in the gas. It is show n that two solutions differing by cathode plasma parameters may take place. Conditions when the effect of collisions may be ignored are found. (C) 200 1 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica".
