Abstract
The effect of losartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, was evaluate d in 7 patients with transposition of the great arteries. This study showed a trend toward improvement in ejection phase indexes of the systemic ventr icle, significant reduction in the regurgitant orifice area and regurgitant volume of the systemic atrioventricular valve, and significant improvement in exercise time.
