A great diversity of ostracode species have been found in the marly beds of
the Urgonian Limestone, in the Jura Mountains, the Pre-subalpine Chains (S
emnoz and Chartreuse) and the northern Subalpine Chains (Chartreuse). More
than 50 species have been found, and 7 are described and illustrated. This
study is part of a larger research project aiming to develop a biostratigra
phical framework for the Urgonian platform in southeastern France.
