The spectrum of optical path difference (OPD) fluctuations depending on cha
nges of leech neuron membrane potential level was investigated with the met
hod of Dynamic Phase Microscopy (DPM). Regular OPD changes in interval 1-3
Hz caused by neuron plasmatic membrane oscillations were revealed in quiesc
ent state. The frequencies appearance probability decreases during membrane
depolarization provoked by increasing of extracellular K+ concentration or
K+-channels blocking. It was supposed that the neuron membrane OPD fluctua
tions changes during K+-depolarization or under acetylcholine influence are
caused the changes of membrane proteins and lipids lateral diffusion veloc
ity.
