Abstract
A bis-mu -diethylsilyl complex [Cp*Ru(mu-eta (2)-HSiEt2)}(2)(mu- H)(H) (2a; Cp* = eta (5)-Ce5Me5) reacted with CF3SO3H to afford a cationic bis-mu -di ethylsilane complex [{Cp*Ru(mu-eta (2):eta (2)- H2SiEt2)}(2)(mu -H)][X] (4a , X = CF3SO3, BPh4). An X-ray diffraction study of 4a-BPh4 revealed its pse udo C-2 symmetric structure and mu-eta (2):eta (2)-coordination of the brid ging silicon.
