Abstract
Anxiety, delirium, and pain are common findings in the ICU. These states ca n cause severe and lasting physiologic and psychologic harm to critically i ll patients. The prompt recognition and appropriate treatment of these cond itions can lead to improved patient outcome and greater satisfaction with t he hospital stay.
